I have just completed my third bluebird bird house.Build to specifications,except for the hole.They don't like the size,so I doubled it,that seemed to work for them. Winter is coming and I want to protect them from the elements of harsh weather.
Now,not only have I added that protected plate in front of the hole.Used oak,too strong for them to adjust the opening. They the birds of course seem to have their own design platforms. I will watch them and report to all of my readers what is best for the birds I love.
Bird seed,we all have our favorites,so don't mix them up even if the price is an influence. it isn't worth it,because you lose some of your favorite friends,who go elsewhere to feed.
